Washington DC [US], August 17 (ANI): Actors Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, Barry Keoghan and Harris Dickinson were spotted filming a rock band ‘Beatles’ biopic at the Iconic Abbey Road, reported Variety.
According to the outlet, Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn and Barry Keoghan were shown recreating the iconic album cover for Sam Mendes’ multi-part Beatles biopic, titled ‘The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.’
Each film in this cinematic event will be from the perspective of a different band member which is divided into four films. The movies are slated for release in April 2028 by Sony Pictures. However, it is currently unknown if the films will be released all at once or once a week throughout April.
Mescal stars as Paul McCartney, Quinn plays George Harrison, Barry Keoghan portrays Ringo Starr, and Harris Dickinson plays John Lennon.
Other cast members include Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, James Norton as Brian Epstein, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Harry Lloyd as George Martin, David Morrissey as Jim McCartney, Leanne Best as Mimi Smith, Bobby Schofield as Neil Aspinall, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill as Mal Evans, Arthur Darvill as Derek Taylor and Adam Pally as Allen Klein.
This project marks the first time that the Beatles and their estates have signed off on life rights and music for a theatrical feature film about them, reported Variety.
The film’s official logline reads: “Each man has his own story, but together they are legendary.”
During CinemaCon 2025, Mendes, who directs all four instalments, described the project as the “first binge-able theatrical experience.”
According to the outlet, Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman added at the time that principal photography for the four films will take a year. (ANI)
