In the 15th over, Jason Holder kept it relatively tidy but South Africa still advanced to 163/1, firmly in command of the chase.

Romario Shepherd’s 16th over went for 10 runs, including a boundary to Rickelton, as the target came within touching distance at 173/1. Then, at 16.1, Holder missed his yorker and Markram drilled a full toss straight down the ground for four to seal a comprehensive nine-wicket win. South Africa stayed unbeaten in the tournament and strengthened their position as strong contenders for the semifinals.

The 10th over from Roston Chase was a tidy one, conceding just five singles as South Africa moved to 109/1 after 10 overs, with Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton rotating the strike.

In the 11th over, Jason Holder went for eight runs, including a crisp cut boundary from Rickelton. South Africa progressed to 117/1 after 11 overs, with Markram on 54 and Rickelton settling in nicely.

South Africa made a blazing start to the chase, racing to 11/0 after 1 over, with Aiden Markram striking an early boundary. The momentum continued as Markram attacked in the second over, taking the score to 23/0 after 2 overs.

The third over saw steady accumulation to 31/0, before Markram’s aggressive strokeplay, including a six and a four, powered South Africa to 42/0 after 4 overs. The opening stand crossed fifty in the fifth over as Markram dominated, guiding the score to 53/0.

Quinton de Kock then joined the charge with multiple sixes and a four in the sixth over, helping South Africa surge to 69/0 at the end of the powerplay.

Spin was introduced in the seventh over, but the batters kept the pressure on, moving to 84/0 after 7 overs with fluent boundaries. The breakthrough finally came in the eighth over when Roston Chase dismissed de Kock for 47, ending the explosive opening stand. South Africa reached 95/1 after 8 overs, firmly in control of the chase.

WHAT A MATCH WE ARE WITNESSING! 

From overs 12 to 20, West Indies staged a strong late recovery led by Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd. After reaching 97/7 in the 13th over, the pair counterattacked with regular boundaries and sixes, taking on both pace and spin to revive the innings.

They added crucial runs through the middle overs, pushing the score to 129/7 after 16 overs and then 140/7 by the 17th. Holder went on the offensive against Marco Jansen in the 18th over, which yielded 23 runs and swung momentum back toward the West Indies.

The final overs saw controlled bowling from Lungi Ngidi and Corbin Bosch, but the late surge continued as both batters approached fifties. Holder was run out for a valiant 49 in the last over, while Shepherd brought up his half-century with a boundary off the final ball. West Indies eventually finished on 176/8 after 20 overs, recovering impressively from 72/6 earlier in the innings.

From overs 8 to 12, South Africa tightened their grip as wickets continued to fall at regular intervals. In the eighth over, Keshav Maharaj conceded 10 runs, with Jason Holder striking a six, but WI were only 70/5. The ninth over saw Lungi Ngidi remove Rovman Powell, leaving them 72/6.

West Indies tried to counter in the 10th over as Matthew Forde hit a four and a six off Marco Jansen to take the score to 82/6. However, the 11th over brought another blow when Corbin Bosch dismissed Forde, pushing WI to 86/7. A tight 12th over from Kagiso Rabada then allowed just four singles, as West Indies limped to 90/7 after 12 overs, with Holder and Romario Shepherd trying to rebuild.
